Welcome to our autumn and winter programme for home educated children.
Monday 5th October we start with the Victorians and the Victorian classroom for children age 5-10 years, see an original Victorian classroom desk from our permanent collection, try on Victorian style costume, then take your seats to be taught like the Victorians. Practice cursive on our black boards then try your hand at writing with a dip pen. Who will be told to sit up straighter and who might end up with the dunces cap?
This session is designed to be lighthearted and fun while teaching the children about life and schooling in Victorian England.
Taught by our lead and deputy lead learning volunteers Lizzie and Hollie.
Sessions are £5.00 per child and now bookable direct through the website or with the tourist information desk at the museum.
