Henry Rice Room

Beginning as a land surveyor and architect, Rice would later go on to perform inspections of the more densely populated, poverty-stricken areas of Liskeard where he would detail his finding in Nuisance books. This allowed him to bring piped water and a proper sewer system to the town. Rice designed many buildings in Liskeard even Foresters hall, the building that would develop into this museum.
