Schools In the Museum

We welcome school groups into the museum and in 2025 were delighted to host a number of schools. So if your school is learning about a particular topic and you’d like to see if a visit to the museum would enhance their learning then please email us.

Sessions which we have previously run for schools include; Toys Through Time, Liskeard’s History, how the shops have changed (and includes a walk around Liskeard Town Centre), Transport through Time and Christmas Traditions. We are still building our schools programme so if you have a topic you think we may be able to help you with then let us know.

We are not a big museum and would recommend splitting classes into small groups for visits which allows more room for them to explore and for many schools means they can reduce the cost by then using school mini buses instead of hiring coaches. If you do choose to bring an entire class then why not split your day up and also visit Stuart House on Barras Street who also welcome school groups.

From January 2026 we are suggesting a donation of £30.00 per class per workshop. Payment details will be sent over at the time of booking.
