From January 2026 we will only be accepting objects to the museum on Thursday’s and Friday’s 11am -4pm and the 1st Saturday of each month 10am-1pm
Do you have an object you would like to donate or temporarily loan to Liskeard & District Museum?
Due to being a small museum we have put in place a short list of criteria for the donation or loan of items to the museum:
Firstly does the object hold any significance to Liskeard or the district? By this we mean was it created or owned by someone with connections to the town or surrounding district? (This criteria is now of utmost importance).
Do you think the object will interest visitors to the museum?
Will this object be a donation to become a part of our permanent collection or are you just looking to loan your object to us temporarily which means that after a period of time it will be returned to you.
How do I arrange to bring in my object?
Firstly thank you for considering the museum for your object, all you need to do is email either of the following two addresses to arrange an appointment: contact@liskeardmuseum.co.uk or manager@liskeardmuseum.co.uk . Please provide as much detail as you can about the object, any background information and if possible attach a photograph of the object.
Appointments can be made for either Thursday’s or Fridays between 11am-4pm or the first Saturday of the month between 10am-1pm, please allow up to one hour at the museum as we need to complete forms about your object which you will need to sign.
